The Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia´s (PCC) municipalities were chosen by local technical teams conformed by universities and specialists according to the following criteria:

14. Smallholding as a landownership system

7. Water source availability *

15. Multiple crops

8. Architectural heritage

16. Sustainable production and technologies in the coffee productive chain

 

Municipalities: includes rural areas from the municipalities of Aguadas, Anserma, Aranzazu, Belalcázar, Chinchiná, Filadelfia, La Merced, Manizales, Neira, Pácora, Palestina, Riosucio, Risaralda, Salamina, San José, Supía and Villamaría and some areas from the rural centers of the municipalities of Aguadas and Salamina.

Buffer area: 71.437 hectares

Municipalities: includes rural areas from the municipalities of Armenia, Buenavista, Calarcá, Circasia, Córdoba, Filandia, Génova, Montenegro, Pijao, Quimbaya and Salento.

Main area: 27.476 hectares

Buffer area: 38.658 hectáreas
Villages: 58

 

Municipalities: includes rural areas from the municipalities of Apía, Balboa, Belén de Umbría, Guática, La Celia, Marsella,Pereira, Quinchía, Santa Rosa de Cabal and Santuario and urbana reas from Apía, Belén de Umbría, Marsella and Santuario.

Main area: 32.537 hectares
Villages: 108

Buffer area: 49.536 hectares
Villages: 133

 

Municipalities: includes rural areas from the municipalities of Alcalá, Ansermanuevo, Caicedonia, El Águila, El Cairo, Riofrío, Sevilla, Trujillo and Ulloa and from the urban area of El Cairo.

Buffer area: 47.369 hectares
